Gunung Padang ‘has the Potential to Be the Oldest Pyramid in the World’ – What is Its Form and Function?

Researcher Danny Hilman Natawidjaja said the results of his latest research on Mount Padang would change history, namely that civilization in Indonesia had developed before the 4th century AD. Because, according to Danny’s research results, Gunung Padang has the potential to be the oldest pyramid in the world.

That’s why he hopes that the Ministry of Education and Culture will carry out further research to uncover hidden secrets and ancient civilizations at this mysterious site.

However, an archaeologist from West Java, Dr Lutfi Yondri, said that this conclusion was far-fetched because the results of his verification and existing literature studies stated that pyramids did not exist in the cultural trajectory in Indonesia.

What is Gunung Padang research like?
The latest findings from research conducted by Danny Hilman Natawidjaja and a number of experts actually confirm his previous conclusion that Mount Padang, located in Cianjur Regency, West Java, has the potential to be the oldest pyramid in the world.

In fact, the site may be 10,000 years older than the Giza Pyramids in Egypt and the famous Stonehenge in England.
