Steel Association Collaborates with Kadin to Hold IISIA Business Forum 2023

The Indonesian Iron & Steel Industry Association (IISIA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the IISIA Business Forum (IBF) 2023 at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

This annual exhibition and seminar event brings together all stakeholders in the national steel industry. It is hoped that the IISIA Business Forum can create synergy between actors and stakeholders in strengthening the steel industry ecosystem.

“The IBF 2023 activity is expected to be a means of bringing together all steel industry stakeholders to synergize and find solutions to problems, as well as obtain input on national steel industry development policies in the context of creating national independence,” said IISIA Chairman Purwono Widodo in an official statement, Thursday (9/ 11/2023).

For your information, IBF 2023 will be held for three days on 9-11 November 2023 at ICE BSD, Tangerang. The IBF 2023 event series was attended by industries related to the steel industry ecosystem, namely 110 exhibitors consisting of 76 companies, 4 ministries, 16 associations, 4 universities and 15 MSMEs. The number of sponsors supporting this event reached 51 sponsors, both from national and foreign companies.

IBF 2023 also presented 30 speakers with 11 speakers from ministries, 6 speakers from companies, 5 international speakers and 2 academic speakers.

On the first day of implementation of IBF 2023, the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that Indonesia’s economic growth in the third quarter of 2023 continued to grow strongly at 4.94% (yoy), although it slowed slightly from growth in the previous quarter which was 5.17% (yoy ).

“The President of the Republic of Indonesia expressed his appreciation to steel industry players who have carried out developments for the future progress of the steel industry, as evidenced by the steel industry growth of 10.86% yoy in the third quarter of 2023,” explained the Coordinating Minister for the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Airlangga Hartarto.

Closing the IBF 2023 Opening Ceremony, Plh. Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yukki N. Hanafi, expressed his appreciation for holding the 2023 IISIA Business Forum event and encouraged IISIA to continue to make positive contributions to the progress of the national steel industry.

Nearly 1,000 people attended IBF 2023. It was also announced that the winners of the Green Steel Building competition which was held as part of a series of IBF 2023 events, namely the Residential/Commercial category, were won by First Place Muhammad Zufar Satrya, (Modular Apartment), Second Place Danang Widiatmoko (Green Office), and Third Place Muhammad Adji Maulana, Tri Rivaldi , and Raihan Wicaksana (Residential Regatta).

Meanwhile, the Public Facilities category was won by Danang Widiatmoko (MRT Station), Akhmad Khoironi Saputra (Garuda Golden Nape Strip Panel) and Yohan Prasetyo, Felisianus Diogenes Agan, and Rizky Sunandi (Gelora Nusantara).
