A male Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) employee was murdered by a gang of people. His body was thrown into the East Jakarta Flood Canal (KBT). They killed the victim with the initials DDY because they wanted to get money.

Head of the Subdirectorate for Car Investigation (Kasubdit Resmob) Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Titus Yudho Ully explained that one of the perpetrators had a lot of debt. The total number of perpetrators is three people, and one is still at large.

“The motive of the perpetrators was economic, for which Brother R had a debt of IDR 3 billion,” said AKBP Titus Yudho Ully, to journalists, Saturday (11/11/2023).

The victim with the initials DDY had a 2020 Fortuner car. The perpetrators pretended to want to be the buyer. The perpetrator then carried out deceptive tactics, printing fake proof of transactions to show DDY that the payment for the Fortuner car had been completed.

“Then the perpetrator met with the victim and showed evidence of the fake transfer that had been edited. After that, the victim did not believe the evidence of the fake transfer,” said Titus.

Next, the victim wanted to go home. The perpetrators offered to accompany them. It was at that moment that the murder occurred.

“While traveling in the car, the suspects carried out the action by slashing the victim’s neck and stabbing the victim several times in the chest. Then the victim was dumped in the BKT Cakung water channel,” said Titus.

DDY’s body was found at KBT, Cakung, on Friday (10/11). The police have arrested three people who now have legal status as suspects. The three suspects arrested by the police had the initials R (29) as the one who had the idea. Second, there is IS (31) as the executor. Third, JS (48) as a buffer. There is one person who is still at large.
