PT Investasi Hijau Selaras commonly known as Hijau and PLN Icon Plus, a subholding of PT PLN (Persero) offers environmentally friendly energy use solutions for industry players in Indonesia entitled “Smart & Green”, through the construction of Rooftop Solar PV Plants.
Hijau in collaboration with PLN Icon Plus signed a note of agreement (MoU) regarding the construction of a Rooftop Solar PV of 3.5 Megawatt Peak (MWp) to fulfill the electrical energy needs at four locations of PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia, namely Serang, Semarang, Jombang, and Lampung.
The Director of PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia, Mr. Han Se Yoon, expressed his pride in the installation of solar-powered production systems at the Serang factory and three other factory locations.
“With the construction of this rooftop solar power plant, we can participate in good Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, despite being under the difficulties of global economic conditions,” he said.
In addition, the construction and installation of this rooftop solar system is also PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia’s effort to support the Paris Agreement to reduce carbon emissions and have a positive impact on world climate change. It also strives to continue to be a company that contributes to society by following government regulations to increase the use of environmentally friendly energy.
President Director of Green, Victor Samuel revealed, that today the awareness of the business world at the global level, including Indonesia, in the utilization of clean and environmentally friendly energy for its business operations is getting higher. This means that the community’s need for Rooftop Solar PV continues to grow.
“To answer this need, we collaborate with PLN Icon Plus to provide Rooftop Solar PV development solutions, such as in the PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia area with a capacity of 3.5 MWp,” he said, after the signing of the MoU for Rooftop Solar PV Development in the PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia Area Cikande, Banten.
Global companies, Victor continued, such as PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia are indeed targeted by their parent company to be able to use cleaner and environmentally friendly energy. Korea, the home country of CJ Corporation, encourages all companies to contribute to world climate change for the better, through the use of green and clean energy.
Victor explained that the collaboration with PLN Icon Plus and related parties also answers the assumption of some people regarding the high investment cost of rooftop solar power plants. In the implementation of Rooftop Solar PV development, Hijau and PLN Icon Plus provide a business scheme that involves financing institutions.
“Through the business scheme that we offer, the construction of Rooftop Solar PV becomes very attractive and competitive. We combine our respective expertise into a solution that can answer the needs of the community, where PLN Icon Plus is a provider of electrical energy and Hijau acts as a consultant as well as funding for the construction of Rooftop Solar PV,” he explained.
PLN Icon Plus itself continues to build collaborations with communities, managers, areas, and developers to bundle a unified solution called “Smart & Green”.
