Polda Metro Jaya Regional Police continues to investigate the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
Recently, Investigators of the Subdirectorate of Corruption Crime, Special Crimes Directorate, Metro Jaya Police Department scheduled a summons for the Chairman of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri.
Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto said that the summoning of witnesses to undergo examination was carried out to find out their involvement.
“Yes, it is related, whether it is related or not,” Karyoto told reporters as quoted by pmjnews, Friday, October 13, 2023.
Karyoto explained, that if someone is indeed worthy of being examined, of course, the witness will be summoned for questioning.
“Yes, if it is appropriate to be questioned as a witness, yes we will ask for information, we will see,” he said.
Meanwhile, Director of Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Police Senior Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak said that his party would schedule to summon Firli Bahuri regarding the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
“We will schedule it later,” said Ade Safri.
Similar to the General Karyoto, Ade Safri has not revealed when the summon of Firli Bahuri will be carried out.
