Consul General of Indonesia in Perth Discussed Formation of Friends of Indonesia in WA Parliament With Magenta Marshall, Member of Parliament

The Consul General of Indonesian met with Magenta Marshall, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from Rockingham at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia office in Perth (25/10)​.

During the meeting, a number of collaborations to promote Indonesian culture and language in the West Australian parliament and the City of Rockingham were discussed.

Also discussed was the proposal to establish Friends of Indonesia in the Western Australian Parliament to become a forum for various cultural collaborations between Western Australia and Indonesia.

Magenta Marshall is a young MP from the Labor Party who replaced Premier Mark McGowan who resigned.

Magenta has a special closeness to Indonesia and She is an alumnus of the 6 month ACICIS program at UGM Yogyakarta.
