UI Students Win Scholarships from Posco, Get Education Funds of US$ 1,500 per Year

A total of 20 University of Indonesia (UI) undergraduate and postgraduate students received scholarships from the Posco TJ Park Foundation. This scholarship is in the form of educational funding assistance of US$ 1,500 per student for a period of one year.

The recipients of this scholarship include Kautsar Muhammad Iqbal, Aleg Restu Pridana Putra, Ibrenna Raissa Putri, Devina Arinda, Ariadne Jasmine Ardiana, Romi Naufal Karim, Nabila Keishafa Lutfiah and Girl Alila Kuncoro from the Faculty of Engineering; Priscilla Saur Novelia Br. Napitupulu and Jason Immanuel Hendrawan from the Faculty of Law; Ali Ridho Al Jufri, Nicole Accalia Angriawan and Rachmasari Nur Al-husin from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

Next, Hendrik Ignatius Damanik from the Faculty of Economics and Business; Gusti Agung Ayu Tehila Putri Cahyadi from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences; Nadya Arifta Auliazaki and Qonita Nur Salamah from the Faculty of Public Health; Bryan Tjandra from the Faculty of Computer Science; Ni Luh Vidary Wiakta Putri from the Faculty of Psychology; and Feni Andriani from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

This scholarship awarding ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 7 2023 at the UI Depok campus. UI University Secretary Agustin Kusumayati warmly welcomed the arrival of Posco TJ Park Foundation representatives and scholarship recipients.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Posco TJ Park Foundation for the visit and scholarships given to our students. “We hope that in the future, with this program, the collaboration between UI and the Posco TJ Park Foundation can expand further,” said Agustin, quoted from the UI website on Wednesday, November 8 2023.

Posco TJ Park Foundation Chairperson, Kim Sun Uk, also congratulated and felt proud of the achievements of the scholarship recipients. “I hope that this scholarship will not only be useful for all of you in the future, but can also help contribute to strengthening relations between Indonesia and South Korea,” he said.

TJ Park is a public institution in the form of a foundation that focuses on the social sector with a mission to increase the abilities, talents and talents of human resources in the Asian region through cultural and academic activities.

TJ Park is under the auspices of Posco, which is an international company from South Korea in the field of steel production. The Posco Asia Fellowship Scholarship aims to grow future leaders from Asia, increasing knowledge between countries to contribute to world peace and shared prosperity.
