Minister of Social Affairs Risma: We Can All Be Heroes Fighting Poverty and Ignorance

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini said that the figures of today’s heroes are different from the heroes who fought for independence in the past.

According to Risma, the heroic spirit is formed in the conditions faced according to the era.

“So, heroes are not the same, there is a time for a hero, there is an era and then there are conditions that shape him to become a hero,” said Risma at the Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery, Jakarta, Friday (10/11/2023).

Risma hopes that today’s hero figures can provide inspiration to many people. Today’s heroes, said Risma, are figures who are able to fight poverty and ignorance.

“We can all be heroes to fight poverty and ignorance, because whoever we are can be a hero. I said earlier that the era is different from the heroes before,” said Risma.

The former Mayor of Surabaya said that his party was trying to help people in difficulty. He hopes that capable people who emerge from poverty can provide inspiration to others.

“I hope we can all be heroes. I said earlier that their children can be heroes and then they can inspire many people and then they don’t think for themselves. Then they can help other people,” concluded Risma.
