PT KAI (Kereta Api Indonesia) Railway Operation Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta provides 680 thousand tickets for 1,134 trips during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday transportation period. Departures are available through GambirStation and Pasar Senen Station.
Head of Public Relations of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Ixfan Hendri Wintoko said the Nataru transportation period will take place from December 21 (H-5) to January 7, 2024 (H+6).
“In total, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has prepared up to 680 thousand Long Distance Train (KAJJ) tickets with 1,134 train trips for departures from Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations,” said Ixfan Hendri Wintoko as quoted on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
As of November 15, continued Ixfan, as many as 96 thousand tickets have been sold. He said that passengers can make ticket reservations starting 45 days before departure.
“Meanwhile, based on data from Wednesday, November 15, 2023, around 96,000 tickets for departure during the Nataru transportation period from Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations have been sold for the period December 21 to December 30, 2023,” he said.
Ixfan hopes that with a long enough ticket booking period, the public can be more flexible in arranging train trips. Especially during the Nataru holiday period.
“With the H-45 booking policy, it is hoped that people can more freely plan trips during the Christmas celebration. To further facilitate the transaction process, the public is advised to make purchases through the Access by KAI application,” he said.
