A Coldplay Concert Ticket Fraud Suspect Arrested by Police in South Jakarta

South Jakarta Metro Police arrested a Coldplay concert ticket fraud perpetrator with the initials RA. The perpetrator earned hundreds of millions from his victims.

South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Bintoro revealed, that one of the victims of the perpetrator was an artist.

“The Metro Jaksel Police have arrested a perpetrator of fraud and or embezzlement of Coldplay concert tickets,” he told reporters, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

“There is one of the capital city artists who is a victim of this criminal act,” he added.

Bintoro explained that the perpetrator of the fraud was arrested in the Mampang area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (November 15, 2023). RA has also admitted his actions.

According to Bintoro, while carrying out the fraud, the perpetrator has even pocketed up to hundreds of millions of Rupiah from his victims.

“The perpetrator is self-employed. As for the victims, we are still investigating because there is only one report. We are still receiving information until now,” he said.

Before the concert took place today, the 1511 action mass of the National Anti-LGBT Movement (Gernati) clashed with police officers from Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in the round in front of Mulia Hotel to Jalan Asia Afrika, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

JakartaDaily.id monitored this afternoon, it was seen that the action masses using one command car faced off with Brimob troops in black uniforms and were on standby with helmets and iron shields.

Polda Metro Jaya admitted that it had not received any notification about the demonstration against the Coldplay concert, which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) today.

“Polda Metro Jaya has not received any notification,” Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Chief Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, told reporters.
