PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI as a state-owned bank seeks to be proactive in providing fast digital financing solutions to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
This commitment is proven through cooperation with Financial Technology (fintech) Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending Amartha Mikro Fintek (Amartha).
This BNI – Amartha partnership is carried out to provide easy access to financing to MSME players throughout Indonesia.
Through this collaboration, Amartha will refer MSME partners to BNIand henceforth enter the fostered MSME ecosystem to receive coaching, financing, and business matching (bringing together actors with buyers) to go global.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by BNIRetail Banking Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan and AmarthaPresident Director Aria Widyanto at Grha BNI, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Putrama said this collaboration is a form of BNI‘s commitment as an Agent of Development for MSMEs in Indonesia.
The company seeks to provide innovative products accompanied by various programs that can make the MSME business ecosystem broader and more integrated.
“We are very proud to collaborate with Amartha. We have the same spirit to help MSME players to be able to upgrade and advance to penetrate the global market,” he said.
On the same occasion, Aria welcomed the collaboration with BNI, which has a good track record in financing MSMEs in Indonesia.
“This collaboration will make fintech companies have greater capital capacity so that they can reach and help more MSMEs,” he concluded.
