Densus 88 Arrests Six Suspected Terrorists, Link to Anshor Daulah and Jamaah Islamiah Networks

Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Antiterror of the Indonesian National Police has arrested six suspected terrorists.

Spokesperson of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said that the six suspects were allegedly involved in terrorism networks in West Kalimantan and South Sumatra.

Densus 88 Antiterror Police arrested one Anshor Daulah (AD) network terrorist suspect in West Kalimantan,” Ahmad Ramadhantold reporters, on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Meanwhile, five other suspected terrorists were secured in South Sumatra. They are related to the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network.

“Five suspected JI network terrorists were arrested in South Sumatra,” said Ramadhan.

Ramadhan revealed that the arrest of the suspects in South Sumatrawas carried out on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Meanwhile, the arrests in West Kalimantan were made on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

“Detachment investigators are still working in the field to collect all information and evidence,” he concluded.
