PLN Icon Plus, Subholding Beyond kWh from PT PLN (Persero) is exploring cooperation with EnercampEV, a start-up company engaged in the development of electric vehicle charging technology or EV Charging.
This collaboration is carried out to realize the commitment of PLN Icon Plus to supporting the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out respectively by the President Director of PLN Icon Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi with EnercampEV CEO, Joshua Jungsub Choi in Jakarta, on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Also present on this occasion were the Director of Electricity Related Business of PLN Icon Plus, Chipta Perdana, and the Director of Connectivity Business of PLN Icon Plus, Sigit Witjaksono, CEO of PT QST Agung Jaya, Mok Eui Soo.
President Director of PLN Icon Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi said that PLN Icon Plus supports the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. Efforts made include opening opportunities for business partnerships or partnerships with EnercampEVM.
“This collaboration between Indonesian and South Korean companies, namely between PLN Icon Plus and EnercampEV, is expected that both parties can jointly support the Electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. The collaboration that will be carried out is the development and implementation of electric vehicle charging solutions or EV Charging,” Ari Rahmat explained in a written statement, on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
This collaboration aims to support the development and ecosystem of electric vehicles in Indonesia. With this collaboration, it is hoped that the community will be further assisted in accessing electric vehicle charging services that are more flexible and easier.
“Electric vehicle users do not need to worry about the battery running out if they are driving or far from an existing charging station. Simply call this mobile charger service through the prepared application,” Ari explained.
“In addition, this collaboration will also help encourage innovation in the field of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. Through collaboration with EnercampEV, PLN Icon Plus will continue to develop more efficient and environmentally friendly solutions to support the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia,” he added.
PLN Icon Plus‘ support for the electric vehicle ecosystem is in line with PLN Group’s commitment to support the development of clean and sustainable energy in Indonesia or Net Zero Emission. With more and more electric vehicles on the road, PLN Icon Plus strives to provide quality charging infrastructure that is accessible to all-electric vehicle users.
It is hoped that this collaboration between PLN Icon Plus and EnercampEV will be the first step in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
