The composite stock price index (IHSG) closed at level 6,788 on Friday (3/11) afternoon. The stock index rose 37.46 points or 0.55 percent from previous trading.
Quoting RTI Infokom, investors made transactions amounting to IDR 9.26 trillion with the number of shares traded amounting to 25.73 billion shares.
At this close, 327 shares rose, 217 shares corrected, and 209 other shares stagnated.
It was observed that nine of the 11 shares in the sectoral index strengthened, led by the energy sector which grew 1.55 percent. Meanwhile, two other stock sectors weakened, led by the health sector, minus 1.46 percent.
Turning to foreign exchanges, the majority of Asian stock exchanges are moving in the green zone.
It was recorded that the Hang Seng Composite index in Hong Kong rose 2.52 percent, the Straits Times index in Singapore rose 1.97 percent, and the Shanghai Composite index in China rose 0.71 percent.
Likewise, European stock exchanges moved stronger. It was observed that the FTSE 100 index in England rose 0.20 percent and the DAX index in Germany rose 0.22 percent.
Likewise, the American stock exchange strengthened compactly. The S&P 500 index rose 1.89 percent, the Dow Jones index rose 1.70 percent, and the NASDAQ Composite index rose 1.78 percent.
