PHE Wins Award at Seoul International Invention Fair 2023

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), won an award at the Seoul International Invention Fair which was held 1-4 November 2023 at the COEX Exhibition And Convention Center, Seoul South Korea.

The four innovations that succeeded in winning awards were, first, the Krayan Reborn PCP team with the title Methodology: Petrophysics Analysis and Evaluation for Low Quality Reservoirs, which received a silver medal and a special award from the GCC Patent office.

The Primadona Team with the innovation title Prima Dona Method: Increase Potential of Hydrocarbon Resources (74 MMBOE) on Jatibarang Sandstone Reservoir Play received a silver medal and a special award from the Taiwan Invention Association, the Brave Team with the innovation title “Increasing Oil and Gas Reserves up to 10.2 MMBoe ( USD 671M) by BRAVE” Method in Handil Field, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam – East Kalimantan Indonesia received a gold medal and special award from the Fourth National Research Council of Thailand.

The Magic Comp team with the innovation title Magic Comp Gasthumb received the Grand Prize and special award from the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technological Creations. Seoul International Invention Fair 2023 is the largest innovation exhibition event in Asia organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) and Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

This event aims to showcase innovative and new technology from various countries, as well as create international business opportunities and initiate industrial transformation. The Seoul International Invention Fair was attended by 684 inventions from 26 countries, namely Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Indonesia, UAE, Poland , Croatia, Iran, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Philippines, Qatar, Morocco, Abu Dhabi, South Korea.

PHE’s Director of Human Resources & Business Support, Oto Gurnita, said that PHE’s success at the SIIF 2023 event is recognition of its international existence and is also proof of its contribution to the growth and development of the energy industry.

“This award is a form of PHE’s commitment to continue to be creative and innovate in achieving technological progress as well as a form of dedication to supporting national energy security and increasing production,” said Oto in a statement received, Sunday (12/11). He added, PHE will continue to invest in management. upstream oil and gas operations and business in accordance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
