Renowned Chef Syrco Bakker’s Culinary Odyssey Continues With Capella Singapore and Capella Bangkok Collaborati

The esteemed two-star Michelin Chef Syrco Bakker is embarking on an exquisite culinary journey across Asia, teaming up with the prestigious Capella hotels in an exciting collaboration.

This captivating series of events comes as a prelude to the much-anticipated opening of his restaurant, Syrco BASÈ, in Ubud. Fusing Dutch, Indonesian, and Mediterranean influences, Chef Bakker is set to dazzle diners with his exceptional culinary artistry.

After successful collaborations with the renowned Four Seasons in Ubud and Jakarta’s popular Modena, Chef Bakker’s next destination is the illustrious Capella Singapore. In partnership with Chef Alan Chan, the Chinese Executive Chef of Cassia, an exclusive two-night event will be held at Cassia, where guests will be treated to a sensational six-course menu.

This culinary masterpiece will elegantly blend Cantonese, Dutch, and Indonesian flavors, showcasing the harmonious fusion of these distinct culinary traditions. Scheduled for August 18 and 19, 2023, this event offers a tantalizing glimpse into the gastronomic brilliance that awaits at Syrco BASÈ.

Continuing his culinary journey, Chef Bakker’s path leads to Capella Bangkok, where he will collaborate with Chef Davide Garavaglia at Côte by Mauro Colagreco. Against the stunning backdrop of the Chao Phraya River, this eight-course dinner promises to unite the flavors of the French Riviera and the lush paddy fields of Bali. Celebrating sustainable ingredients and the chefs’ profound connection to their culinary heritage, this extraordinary dining experience is set for August 25 and 26, 2023.
