Jessica Wongso’s letter to the Joint Prayer Event Held by Otto Hasibuan

A joint prayer and solidarity event with Indonesian advocates for Jessica Wongso was held at Grand Sahid Jaya, Central Jakarta, Friday (10/11/2023). In her letter, Jessica expressed her gratitude for the support she received.

“A letter to Om Otto Hasibuan, Om Bostam and the team, as well as all the advocates and Indonesian citizens who are fighting for justice for me. There are no words in this world that can express how grateful I am for all the prayers, support and attention I have received,” said Jessica Wongso in a letter read by her lawyer, Hidayat Bostam, at Grand Sahid Jaya, Central Jakarta, Friday (10/11/2023).

The letter was handwritten by Jessica Wongso. Jessica said the prayers and support made her have hope again in this case.

“Not only that, my brothers and sisters have also given me the courage to have hope again,” he said.

Apart from that, Jessica’s mother, Imelda Wongso, had time to chat with the activity participants via video call. Imelda is known to be undergoing treatment in Australia.

“Thank you for your attention and giving love to Jessica. Thank you to everyone who is willing to help Jessica. I can’t repay everyone’s kindness, I’ll let God repay me. Believe me, my child, I’m sure my child is innocent,” said Imelda Wongso.

Imelda also emphasized that Otto Hasibuan never blackmailed her in this case. He said Otto helped Jessica deal with the case sincerely and without payment.

“Mr Otto has been accused of blackmailing me and I emphasize that I did not pay Mr Otto a single penny. Mr Otto sincerely and sincerely defended Jessica,” he said.

Jessica was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the murder case of Wayan Mirna Salihin. Jessica is serving her sentence at Pondok Bambu Prison. The following is the complete content of Jessica Wongso’s letter:
