The Corruption Eradication Commission searched the office of member of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) VI Pius Lustrilanang. This search was carried out in connection with an investigation into a corruption case involving the acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Mosso.
“That’s right,” said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, Wednesday (15/11/2023). Ali has not provided further explanation regarding the search.
Before carrying out the search, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) first sealed the office of the former member of the DPR RI. Pius’ room was sealed at the same time as the arrest operation carried out by the KPK against the acting Regent of Sorong on Sunday (12/11/2023).
Corruption Eradication Committee Chairman Firli Bahuri said investigators were still investigating Pius’ alleged role in the Yan Piet Mosso corruption case. He said the Corruption Eradication Commission would certainly carry out a confiscation if evidence of corruption was found in Pius’ office.
“The sealing of the room is related to allegations of corruption committed by members of the BPK who we have arrested today. Of course, the connection between BPK VI members still requires requests for further information and evidence,” said Firli.
In a sting operation in Sorong, the KPK named 6 people as suspects. The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) appointed Yan Piet along with 2 of his subordinates, namely the Head of Sorong BPKAD Efer Segidifat and Sorong BPKAD staff Maniel Syatfle. They are suspected of giving bribes to members of the BPK West Papua representative office to manipulate the results of audits of the financial reports of the Sorong Regency Government for 2022 to 2023.
Meanwhile, 3 people from the state auditor element who were named as suspects are the Head of West Papua BPK Representative Patrice Lumumba Sihombing; Head of West Papua BPK Subaud Abu Hanifa; and Chair of the Examination Team David Patasaung. The KPK suspects that the amount of money received by the auditors was IDR 1.8 billion. Investigators also confiscated a Rolex watch.
